Ingredients

  • 400 g pasta
  • 250 g broccoli broken into florets
  • 30 g butter
  • 250 g leg ham (deli) cut into strips
  • 1 tsp garlic crushed
  • 6 spring onions chopped
  • 200 g mushrooms sliced
  • 250 ml thick cream
  • 1 tsp fresh curly parsley chopped

Method

  • Step 1
    Add pasta to saucepan of rapidly boiling water and cook until tender. Drain.
  • Step 2
    Cook broccoli florets in rapidly boiling water for 2 minutes and drain.
  • Step 3
    Heat butter in a large pan, add ham strips and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Add crushed garlic, spring onions and mushrooms and stir for 2 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Add drained pasta, broccoli, cream and parsley and stir until heated through.
Recipe Notes

I use spiral pasta.

This is best cooked just before serving.

I like to use ham off the bone as it has a nice flavour when cooked.
