Very nice and tasty Belgian flavour.
Ingredients
- 2 cup milk
- 30 g yeast
- 6 egg
- 3 1/2 cup plain flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 30 g butter melted
Method
-
Step 1Warm ½ cup of the milk in a bowl, and dissolve the yeast in it.
-
Step 2Beat the eggs with the rest of the milk.
-
Step 3Put the flour in a warmed bowl, and make a well in the centre. Pour in the yeast mixture, and the egg mixture. Beat until the batter is smooth and free of lumps. Put aside in a warm, draft-free cupboard for 2 hours, to allow the yeast to develop.
-
Step 4Stir in the sugar, salt and melted butter.
-
Step 5Cook waffles in a well-greased waffle iron.
Recipe Notes
Serve with jam and syrup, ice cream and sugar or fruit and ice cream. You can use an electric waffle maker as well.
