Light as air and layered into a glass, these Baileys parfaits are the perfect ending to your next dinner party.
Ingredients
- 1 packet Oreo biscuits
- 115 g milk chocolate melts
- 1/2 cup milk
- 600 ml thickened cream
- 50 ml Baileys liqueur
- 1/4 cup icing sugar
- 6 cherries fresh
Method
-
Step 1Chill six short drinking glasses in the fridge, so that they're ready to layer up.
-
Step 2Remove the white cream filling from all the Oreos, then put the chocolate biscuits into a mini whizz. Whizz them up until they become fine crumbs.
-
Step 3Put the milk chocolate melts into a bowl and pour the hot milk over them. The heat of the milk should melt the chocolate. Stir it all gently until it's melted together, then set it aside to cool.
-
Step 4Put the cream, Baileys and icing sugar into the bowl of a mixer. Whip the cream to stiff peaks.
-
Step 5Divide the cream mixture into two halves. To one half gently and gradually fold in the chocolate mixture.
-
Step 6Now you should have all the elements: cream, chocolate cream, biscuit crumbs and cherries. Using a spoon, layer them into a glass alternately.
-
Step 7Start with chocolate cream, then add a large spoonful of biscuit crumbs, followed by chocolate cream and then finish with cream and more biscuit crumbs. Top it with a cherry.
-
Step 8Layer up six glasses and when it's time for dessert you won't even have to cut anything into pieces. Just serve them with a spoon and your work here is done.
Recipe Notes
These are so easy because you can make them beforehand and just keep them in the fridge until it's time to serve.
You could also top these with raspberries or strawberries.
