Ingredients

  • 6 tomatoes halved medium washed
  • 2 avocados chopped peeled pitted
  • 1 1/2 cups Swiss cheese grated
  • 10 leaves fresh basil chopped
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano

Method

  • Step 1
    Place halves cut side up on a baking sheet.
  • Step 2
    In a small bowl, mash together avocados, cheese and basil.
  • Step 3
    Bake tomatoes at 200C for 5 minutes, or until becoming soft. Carefully remove from oven.
  • Step 4
    Spoon mashed mixture on top of hot tomatoes and sprinkle with oregano.
  • Step 5
    Serve hot.

  • 1 baking paper
  • 1 bowl
  • 1 metal spoon
Recipe Notes
Quick and easy, and quite healthy as long as you don't overdo the cheese. Wash tomatoes and halve cross-ways and use fresh basil leaves or 1 tablespoon dried basil.
