Recipe Notes
Dish ends up with apples in a lovely flavoured sauce with a thin sponge topping This is a great dish if you like your apple pie, but want something a bit different for a change. I've noticed from comments that many are dubious about the 2 cups of water used, so thought I'd just add that I quite often use only 1 1/2 cups, and its still the same, just not quite so much sauce.
