A touch of golden brown heaven in your mouth!
Ingredients
- 125 g unsalted butter
- 1 tbs golden syrup
- 2 tbs boiling water
- 1 tbs bicarbonate of soda
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup desiccated coconut
Method

Step 1Preheat oven to 150C.

Step 2Grease baking trays or line with baking paper.

Step 3Melt butter in a small pan.

Step 4Add the syrup, water and baking soda (it will froth up). Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl, add the butter mixture and mix well.

Step 5Place spoonfuls of mixture on the prepared trays approximately 5cm apart, flattening slightly.

Step 6Bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
