A delicious ham that everyone will love.
Ingredients
- 6 kg ham
- 1 packet whole cloves
- 1/4 cup pineapple jam
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 440 g (sliced) canned pineapple
- 1 can pineapple juice
Method

Step 1Preheat oven to 180C. Place ham on rack in roaster, bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.

Step 2Genlty remove rind, with thumb, around edge and pull back.

Step 3Using sharp knife score the fat into 2 cm squares. Place a clove in each square. Place ham back in roasting pan.

Step 4Combine jam, sugar and reserved pineapple juice. Brush over ham.

Step 5Cover shank with foil and bake a further 40 minutes, add pineapple to the pan and bake for 20 minutes.

Reserve your pineapple juice from the canned pineapple.
