A delicious, easy to make pasta meal for the whole family. My kids love this, and ask for it regularly.
Ingredients
- 500g chicken breast fillets diced
- 250g penne
- 30g butter
- 1 tsp garlic crushed
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 tbs cornflour
- 2 tbs milk
- 300ml cream
- 1 pinch pepper to taste
- 1 handful chives chopped to taste
- 1 handful parsley to taste
Method

Step 1Boil pasta in lots of salted water, until just tender.

Step 2While pasta is cooking, melt butter in large saucepan and add garlic and chives.

Step 3Add chicken and stir to combine. Put lid on pan for 4 minutes.

Step 4Remove lid and stir chicken until just cooked.

Step 5Add cream and the cornflour mixed with enough milk to make a thick paste.

Step 6Stir continuously until sauce thickens. If too thick add a little milk.

Step 7Add parmesan cheese and seasoned pepper, stir.

Step 8When cooked, stir in parsley.

Step 9Drain pasta, add to chicken mix and stir until evenly coated, serve.

Recipe Notes
Not suitable to freeze.
Mushrooms, bacon and onion can be added for extra flavour.
