Ingredients

  • 125 g butter
  • 6 tsp golden syrup
  • 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1/3 cup peanuts chopped
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

  • Step 1
    Melt together butter, golden syrup and bicarbonate of soda in a bowl.

  • Step 2
    Add the remainder of the ingredients and mix together.
  • Step 3
    Roll the mixture into small balls and press onto greased baking trays.
  • Step 4
    Bake in a 180C oven for 15-20 minutes.
