The Christmas countdown is definitely on, and with that comes excitement… and sometimes stress.
Christmas entertaining = the most stressful time of the year?
Woolworths supermarket recently carried out some research that revealed nearly 1 in 5 Aussies identify as Effortless Entertainers. This means that they like to rely on ready-made food options and easy shortcuts when entertaining during the festive season.
In the survey, 18 percent of Aussies also revealed that unexpected guests stopping by causes the most Christmas anxiety for them.
Woolies is now making it their job to alleviate any of that stress for hosts with what we think is their most convenient party food range ever.
The Woolworths Christmas party food range for 2025
The ready-to-serve party food range is all about taking the hard work out of Christmas entertaining. All the fiddly prep work is already done – all you have to do is take it out of the packet, cook and serve.
(We know those Effortless Entertainers with impromptu hosting anxieties are going to love it as much as us.)

The range includes:
- Prawn toast with ponzu sauce
- Prawns wrapped in pastry with cocktail sauce
- Bubbly coated prawns with sweet chilli sauce
The Woolworths freezer selection includes bacon-wrapped prawn skewers, prawn and chorizo skewers and a cooked tiger prawn platter.
A spokesperson for Woolworths said: “While we all still love classic party pies and sausage rolls (who doesn’t?!), we know that busy hosts are looking for super easy ways to make their entertaining look great without all the stress.
“This year, the Woolies team worked on a cool new lineup of ‘fancier’ options designed just for that, perfect for the non-stop holiday social scene.”
