Easy cooking for teenagers
As a teen, you may feel there is no easy way out of cooking, but it can be easier to cook than you think. Nowadays, with the evolution of easy, simple recipes can be made with handy appliances such as slow cookers. Teens can enjoy hands-free cooking and allow the slow cooker to do the hard work.
Some slow cooker recipes don’t involve much skill; all it takes is basic knife skills and an understanding of common kitchen terms. For example, these slow-cooked cheesy potatoes are prepared with simple cutting, measuring ingredients, and layering in the slow cooker. Then simply pop the ingredients in the slow cooker as each recipe says. Once this is done, you’ll have a delicious meal with no effort! It’s that easy! Just be sure to plan your meals ahead as the cooking time tends to be a bit long.
Quick recipes for teens to cook
Cooking doesn’t necessarily have to take hours. Teens don’t always have the time or patience to wait four hours for a slow cooker meal, and that’s okay! We know that teenagers may prefer a meal made quickly for convenience.
There are quite a few quick and convenient recipes that are great for on-the-go meals or even school lunches. Experimenting with pasta dishes, different bread recipes and fillings, or using convenience foods as part of a recipe are great options for on-the-go occasions.
This quick and easy pasta salad is one of our favourites. It takes just 10 minutes to prepare, and you’ll soon have a creamy, delicious dish.

We also love using puff pastry in convenience meals. These ricotta spinach Kransky triangles are great for convenient cooking and are made in a sandwich maker. Perfect and made in a click! It’s a simple solution to a “what can I eat?” kind of day.
