Tim Tams are perhaps the most popular bikkie in the biscuit aisle.

Usually, this would be the only place you’d find the famous chocolate biscuit, but soon you’ll be able to find Tim Tams in the cooler part of Woolies.

Tim Tams are now available on fridge shelves

Yep, the rumours are true. For those that love their Tim Tams cold, crunchy and hard, you’ll soon be able to grab a packet from fridges in Woolies.

One of Australia’s biggest debates has always been: ‘What is the best way to store your Tim Tam bikkies: pantry or fridge?’

So, Arnott’s decided it was time that we stop the fighting and make everyone happy. Tim Tams will still be available in the biscuit aisle, but for those who are staunch members of the ‘Tim Tams belong in the fridge’ camp, you’ll be able to purchase them as you wish.

A spokesperson for Woolworths said: “We hope to be able to settle the great Tim Tam tussle. That’s why our Tim Tam-loving customers this week will be able to pick up a cold and crisp packet from our fridges or find them in the chocolate biscuit aisle. Whichever way our customers prefer, we’ve got them covered.”

From 28 January, Tim Tam Original, Double Coat, Chewy Caramel, Dark and White will all be available on fridge shelves in select Woolworths stores. To sweeten the debate, all packs will be half-price at RRP $3.

What to do with all the Tim Tam bikkies you’ll be buying

If you end up with a few too many packets of Tim Tams, you can turn them into some fabulously decadent desserts. From a creamy Tim Tam cheesecake to Tim Tam hedgehog slice (and Tim Tam truffles in between), there are so many ways to use Australia’s favourite chocolate biscuit.
