These meatballs are so delicious and very easy to make. My grandma made them for me when I was a child and I love to make them for my kids.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg pork mince
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp mixed spice
  • 4 tsp garlic
  • 2 1/2 cups chicken stock (liquid)
  • 1 cup cream
  • 2 tbs cornflour

Method

  • Step 1
    Place mince, egg, breadcrumbs, mixed spice, 2 tbs garlic and 1/2 cup stock in a bowl.
  • Step 2
    Mix together and roll into small balls.
  • Step 3
    Place a little oil in a frying pan, then add meatballs and cook until brown.
  • Step 4
    Add 2 cups of Massel chicken stock and simmer for 45 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Just before serving, add 1 cup of cream, 2 tsp of garlic and season with salt and pepper and thicken with cornflour.
  • Step 6
    Serve with steamed rice or with pasta.
Recipe Notes

You can substitute pork for veal mince.
