Ingredients

  • 1 tbs oil
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1/4 cabbage shredded
  • 1 carrot grated
  • 2 tsp Massel* chicken stock powder
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • 3 cups water
  • 170 g Maggi 2-minute noodles crushed
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas and corn
  • 1/2 tsp salt and pepper optional *to taste

Method

  • Step 1
    Sauté the onion in the oil and butter for several minutes.

  • Step 2
    Add the cabbage, carrot, stock and curry powders, and the water.
  • Step 3
    Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Add the noodles and peas and corn. Discard noodle flavour sachets. Simmer for a further 5-10 minutes, stirring regularly, until the cabbage and noodles are cooked and most of the liquid has evaporated.
  • Step 5
    Add salt and pepper, if using.
Recipe Notes

This is nice served with fresh bread and butter.
