This recipe is an easy quick fix to any cake craving. I serve mine with lashings of canned whipped cream and chunky sprinkles! - Tiffany Page

Ingredients

1 tbsp very soft butter
1 egg
1 tbsp caster sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla extract or paste
1/2 cup self-raising flour
2-3 tbsp milk
Whipped cream, to serve
Sprinkles, to serve

Method

Step 1

Whisk butter, egg and sugar in a 350ml capacity mug until pale. Add the remaining ingredients and whisk to combine.
Step 2

Microwave on high for 2 minutes or until cake has puffed up and cooked in the centre. Leave to sit for 2 minutes.
Step 3

Serve with whipped cream or butter cream and finish with sprinkles.
