This recipe is an easy quick fix to any cake craving. I serve mine with lashings of canned whipped cream and chunky sprinkles!
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp very soft butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp caster sugar
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract or paste
- 1/2 cup self-raising flour
- 2-3 tbsp milk
- Whipped cream, to serve
- Sprinkles, to serve
Method

Step 1Whisk butter, egg and sugar in a 350ml capacity mug until pale. Add the remaining ingredients and whisk to combine.

Step 2Microwave on high for 2 minutes or until cake has puffed up and cooked in the centre. Leave to sit for 2 minutes.

Step 3Serve with whipped cream or butter cream and finish with sprinkles.
