Ingredients

  • 2 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 6 pork sausage

Method

  • Step 1
    Beat eggs in a mixing bowl, then add milk and stir together.
  • Step 2
    Gradually add flour to the egg and milk mixture, beating until combined and smooth.

    Allow to stand for 20 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Prick sausages and place into a greased casserole dish.
  • Step 5
    Bake in a hot oven for 10 minutes.
  • Step 6
    Remove dish from oven, turn sausages but do not drain the fat.
  • Step 7
    Pour batter over the sausages and bake for another 25-30 minutes, or until batter is puffed and golden.
Recipe Notes

I always add a touch of garlic. Some minted peas or corn can be add to the batter after resting. Parsley or chives could also be added. The sausages should just fit into the dish.
