The easiest and yummiest dessert to prepare when people are coming over unexpectedly.
Ingredients
- 12 digestive biscuits
- 1 cup water
- 2 tsp instant coffee granules
- 2 tsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbs whisky
- 4 cup whipped cream cold
- 2 tbs icing sugar sifted
- 2 tsp vanilla sugar
- 170 g thickened cream cold
- 1 tbs cocoa powder *to decorate
- 1 banana sliced *to decorate *optional
Method

Step 1Mix the water with the cocoa, coffee granules and whiskey.

Step 2Dip biscuits into the coffee mixture until well soaked and place two biscuits each into six individual-serve glass bowls.

Step 3Combine the whipped cream, sugar, vanilla and thickened cream until mixture is just thickened.

Step 4Divide the cream across the bowls.

Step 5Sift cocoa powder over the cream and top with banana, if using.

Step 6Alternately, caramelize 1 cup of sugar in a pan with ¼ cup of almonds.

Step 7Once cool, crush them in an electric crusher and sprinkle them over the cream instead of the cocoa.

Step 8Place in fridge for 1½-2 hours before serving.
