My teenage sons love these sausage rolls as they have tandoori paste in them. A great after school snack when they come home starving. - funingoa

Ingredients

  • 500 g beef mince
  • 2 tbs onion flakes
  • 4 tbs tikka masala Indian curry paste
  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 4 tsp poppy seeds

Method

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 200C.
  • Step 2
    Combine beef mince, onion flakes, curry paste and salt and pepper, mix thoroughly.
  • Step 3
    Cut pastry sheet in half lengthways, place a quarter of the mince mixture down long edge of each piece.
  • Step 4
    Brush pasty with egg and roll up to enclose.
  • Step 5
    Brush each roll with egg, sprinkle with poppy seeds and place on a baking paper-lined tray.
  • Step 6
    Cut each roll into 4 cm pieces, bake for 25 minutes until sausage rolls are crisp and golden.
  • Step 7
    Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Recipe Notes
Tandoori curry paste can also be used.
