Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 3 1/2 tbs cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 100 g butter melted
  • 2/3 cup plain flour

Method

  • Step 1
    Whip eggs, sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy.
  • Step 2
    Mix in cocoa, salt and melted butter.
  • Step 3
    Fold in the flour.
  • Step 4
    Pour into well greased and breadcrumb covered 23 cm springform pan.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 175C for 25 minutes.
  • Step 6
    Cake should be dry around edges, moist in the middle.
  • Step 7
    Sprinkle with icing sugar when cool.

Equipment

  • 1 23cm non-stick springform pan
Recipe Notes
I grease with margarine and then put some breadcrumbs in the pan and let the margarine "catch" the crumbs.
