Blueberries, walnuts and dark chocolate are considered to be three of the world’s superfoods – full of anti-oxidants, nutrients and goodness. The best way to get the kids to eat them is in the form of a delicious dessert pizza which is good for the insides as well as the tastebuds using both white and dark chocolate.
Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 100 ml lukewarm water
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 2 tsp sugar
- 180 g bread flour
Topping
- 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/4 cup walnuts
Dark chocolate sauce
- 150 g dark chocolate chopped
- 1 cup pure cream
- 4 tbs brown sugar
White chocolate ganache
- 100 g white chocolate chopped
- 1/2 cup cream
Method

Step 1Mix yeast with salt, olive oil and warm water. Put in a warm place for 10 minutes.

Step 2Add flour and knead for 20 minutes till smooth and elastic.

Step 3Put in bowel and cover with cloth in a warm spot for 1 hour until double in size.

Step 4While waiting for dough to rise, make dark chocolate sauce. Combine chocolate, cream and sugar in a saucepan over a low heat. Cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until mixture is smooth. Set aside to cool. Cover

Step 5Preheat oven to 210C.

Step 6Take dough out and flatten. Let rise again for 15 minutes. Spread cooled dark chocolate sauce over pizza base.

Step 7Decorate rest of blueberries and walnuts on pizza. Bake 12-15 minutes.

Step 8Make white chocolate ganache. Heat fresh cream for 1 minute and add white chocolate. Stir till smooth.

Step 9To finish, spoon white chocolate over pizza and serve immediately cutting into pizza slices.
