A simple easy recipe for different and great tasting bite sized meatballs baked in a special sauce.
Ingredients
- 500 g beef mince
- 1/3 cup dried breadcrumbs
- 2 egg
- 1 dried breadcrumbs *to serve
Sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup beer
Method

Step 1Preheat the oven to 180C or 170C if fan forced.

Step 2Combine the mince, eggs and breadcrumbs in a bowl and mix with fingers.

Step 3Roll the mince mix into bite size balls. Roll in the extra breadcrumbs.

Step 4Place the balls on a paper lined tray and bake for 10 minutes.

Step 5Combine the tomato sauce, brown sugar and beer in a bowl.

Step 6Stir to dissolve the sugar.

Step 7Remove the balls from the oven and place in an oven proof dish.

Step 8Pour the sauce mix over the balls and bake semi-covered for 45 minutes.
Recipe Notes
Re-spoon the sauce over the balls before serving. You can use any mince you want. Use a good quality beer.
