Lovely Asian spring rolls.
Ingredients
- 4 carrot julienned
- 1 1/2 onion shredded
- 80 g noodles
- 1 1/2 tsp salt *to taste
- 1 1/2 tbs sugar
- 1 pinch pepper *to taste
- 250 g pork mince
- 250 g spring roll wrappers gow gee wrappers
Method

Step 1Soak glass noodles in hot water until noodles turn transparent. Drain the water and cut noodles with kitchen scissors.

Step 2Mix glass noodles with remaining ingredients.

Step 3Spoon into spring roll wrapper and wrap tightly, seal with paste made of water and cornstarch, and deep fry.
Recipe Notes
Use Glass Noodles. You can also use chicken mince. I usually make double the quantity and freeze them up, and then deep fry them without defrosting whenever unexpected guests arrive. When I am short of time I put them straight into a preheated oven, 180C for 15 to 20 minutes after brushing the spring rolls with cooking oil. I have used the oil spray as well and the end results are equally as good as deep frying minus the time spent when deep frying.
Tips to convert this recipe to cook in an air fryer
Prep as directed, spray with oil and cook until golden.
