This sauce has a combination of beef and vegetables which makes it a more rounded meal when served with pasta and garlic bread. Oh, and it tastes great!
Ingredients
- 400 g beef mince
- 1 brown onion chopped
- 4 cloves garlic crushed
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1 zucchini grated
- 2 carrot grated
- 100 g mushrooms diced
- 425 g canned crushed tomatoes
- 425 g can condensed tomato soup
- 2 tbs tomato paste
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1/2 cup beef stock (liquid)
- 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt and pepper *to taste
Method

Step 1Heat oil in a large pan. Fry onions and garlic until soft. Add mince and cook until all the meat is brown.

Step 2Add carrot, zucchini and mushrooms and cook for a minute or two.

Step 3Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for an hour. If the sauce is getting too thick add extra water as needed.

Step 4Serve over cooked spaghetti or use as the meat sauce for lasagna.
