Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 250ml boiling water
  • 2 chicken stock cubes
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tsp garlic crushed
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 3 tsp chicken gravy powder *to taste

Method

  • Step 1
    Add the chicken to the slow cooker.
  • Step 2
    Stuff the chicken with the onion and lemon.
  • Step 3
    Mix the stock cubes into the water.
  • Step 4
    Add honey, lemon juice and garlic to the stock, and then pour over the chicken.

    Cook for 8 hours on low.
Recipe Notes

Once cooked, remove chicken and add chicken Gravox to the liquid, whisk and you have a beautiful chicken gravy to complement the roast chicken.
