Beautiful moist chicken.
Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken
- 250ml boiling water
- 2 chicken stock cubes
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tsp garlic crushed
- 1 onion chopped
- 1/2 lemon
- 3 tsp chicken gravy powder *to taste
Method

Step 1Add the chicken to the slow cooker.

Step 2Stuff the chicken with the onion and lemon.

Step 3Mix the stock cubes into the water.

Step 4Add honey, lemon juice and garlic to the stock, and then pour over the chicken.

Step 5Cook for 8 hours on low.
Recipe Notes
Once cooked, remove chicken and add chicken Gravox to the liquid, whisk and you have a beautiful chicken gravy to complement the roast chicken.
