Melt in your mouth, slow-cooked pork with a beautiful flavour.
Ingredients
- 2 ham hock fresh
- 500ml vegetable stock
- 1 celery stick roughly chopped
- 1 carrot cut into pieces large peeled
- 1 onion diced large
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 slices orange rind
- 1 red chilli chopped
- 4 (pods) cardamom
- 1 tsp fresh ginger finely chopped
- 2 garlic clove finely chopped
Method

Step 1Brown hocks in olive oil over high heat.

Step 2Remove hocks, add onion and fry until soft.

Step 3Add to slow cooker with all remaining ingredients.

Step 4Cook on high for approximately 5 hours.
Recipe Notes
I have added sage and parmesan dumplings to the slow cooker around 25 minutes before cooking time ended. I then removed the dumplings, sprinkled with more parmesan and placed under grill until a little crunchy on top.
