Ingredients

  • 600 ml thickened cream
  • 86 g Dr Oetker vanilla custard powder
  • 930 g canned mandarins in syrup segmented
  • 500 g Savoiardi sponge finger biscuits
  • 2 cups grapes
  • 2 cups hot chocolate
  • 375 g dark cooking chocolate *to decorate

Method

  • Step 1
    Dip each sponge finger halfway into chocolate drink. Arrange them on a bottom in springform pan and top with half of grapes.
  • Step 2
    Pour the thickened cream into a separate plastic container. Add custard powder and mandarins with syrup. Close the lid and shake until cream becomes thick. Spread the cream over the grapes.
  • Step 3
    Decorate the cake with grated chocolate and leave in fridge over night. Serve cold.

Equipment

  • 20cm springform pan
Recipe Notes
This cake is very soft so put it into the freezer for a few minutes before serving.
