Delicious, homemade sesame sticks.
Ingredients
- 125 g margarine
- 1 tbs baking powder
- 1/2 cup plain yoghurt
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolks
- 2 tsp white vinegar
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 tbs salt
- 4 cups plain flour
Coating
- 1 tbs sesame seeds
- 1 egg white
Method

Step 1Beat the margarine until soft.

Step 2In another bowl, mix the oil, yoghurt, eggs,vinegar and salt. Add to margarine.

Step 3Add baking powder and slowly add flour, kneading mixture by hand.

Step 4Rest the mixture for 10 minutes.

Step 5Add the sesame seeds to a nonstick frying pan and roast by stirring over medium heat until they change colour.

Step 6Roll dough into thin 10 cm long sticks, brush with egg white and sprinkle sesame seeds.

Step 7Place in a baking tray and bake at 180C until cooked.
