This recipe is so easy to make and very popular with all the family. These sausage rolls keep well in the fridge and can be eaten hot or cold.
Ingredients
- 4 sheets Pampas puff pastry
- 500 g sausage mince
- 500 g premium beef mince
- 3 cups fresh breadcrumbs
- 1 onion medium
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 chicken stock cube
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 1 pinch salt and pepper *to taste
- 1 egg beaten *to glaze
- 30 g sesame seeds
Method

Step 1Preheat oven to 220C.

Step 2Chop onion and garlic finely and fry until onion softens (do not brown).

Step 3Add fresh bread into food processor to make the breadcrumbs.

Step 4Add mince beef, sausage meat, breadcrumbs and cooked onion into a bowl and mix well.

Step 5Dissolve stock cube in hot water and then top up with cold water to 1 ½ cups.

Step 6Add water and Worcestershire sauce to the mixture and combine well.

Step 7Cut the sheets of pastry in half and add meat mixture. Roll pastry, overlap pastry and then seal the edge.

Step 8Cut rolls in half and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper seem side down.

Step 9Glaze with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Step 10Bake at 220C for 30 minutes.
