A burger enjoyed slightly different. This is not only dill infused, but also uses dill pickles for a stronger taste.
Ingredients
- 200 g salmon fillet pin-boned skinless
- 1/2 tsp ginger grated
- 1 tsp fresh dill chopped
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch pepper
- 1 red onion thinly sliced
- 2 hamburger rolls
- 1 tbs tartare sauce
- 2 slices cheese
- 2 lettuce leaves
- 1 dill pickle sliced
- 2 tbs oil
- 1/2 tsp oil *extra
Method

Step 1In a food processor, process the salmon, ginger, dill, lemon, pepper and salt.

Step 2Divide it into two and shape the mixture making 10cm patties.

Step 3Cook the red onion in a small saucepan with a half a teaspoon of oil, just so they are sautéed.

Step 4Heat oil in a frying pan and cook patties on each side for two minutes.

Step 5To assemble the burger: Place a slice of cheese in the roll followed by the patty, tartare sauce, red onion, dill pickles, lettuce leaves and with a sprig or two of dill (optional).
