After years of making different variations of this recipe, I've finally found this recipe to be the most satisfying and everyone loves it.
Ingredients
- 500 g pork mince
- 2 capsicums red green
- 1 onion diced
- 2 garlic cloves crushed
- 2 tomatoes diced large
- 500 ml passata
- 1 sprinkle Italian dried herbs
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
- 1 sprinkle cayenne pepper
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 700 g San Remo pasta
Method

Step 1Brown mince in 1 tbs olive oil, then remove from pan.

Step 2Sauté onion and garlic in 1 tbs olive oil, then add diced capsicums and sauté, then add diced tomatoes. Cook for a few minutes.

Step 3Add mince back into the pan and stir into mixture.

Step 4Add passata and red wine along with black pepper and Italian herbs. Stir to combine, then sprinkle with cayenne pepper.

Step 5Slowly cook for 90 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 6Serve with pasta.

Recipe Notes
You can sprinkle with grated cheese after serving if you like cheese.
