Super rich beef casserole, perfect for a winter treat. It is gluten and dairy free.
Ingredients
- 4 beef osso bucco cubed
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 beef stock cube
- 300 g tomato paste
- 1 tbs gravy powder
- 1 cup water
- 1 pinch pepper *to taste
Method

Step 1Preheat oven to 150C.

Step 2Lightly oil a heavy casserole pot and bring to a high heat.

Step 3Add onion and cook for 1 minute.

Step 4Add meat and cook until just brown.

Step 5Stir through stock and then tomato paste.

Step 6Add enough water so the beef isn't quite completely covered and bring to the boil.

Step 7Stir through gravy powder and pepper.

Step 8Cover and bake for approximately 3 hours, stirring occasionally, and adding additional water if necessary.
Recipe Notes
If it's runny at the end, remove some liquid into a cup, add corn flour to it and return it to the pot and cook for another 15 minutes or so. You can also use gravy beef, cubed.
