A tasty rissole with a delicate apple flavour. A big hit with the family.

Ingredients

  • 500 g pork mince
  • 1 granny smith apple cored finely chopped large skin on
  • 1 brown onion finely chopped
  • 1 spring onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 carrot grated small
  • 1 tbs parsley finely chopped
  • 2 tbs Woolworths Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tbs oil
  • 1 cup dried breadcrumbs *optional

Method

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients, except oil and breadcrumbs, together in a bowl. If mixture is too wet, use stale breadcrumbs to bind together

  • Step 2
    Roll mixture into balls and slightly flatten.
  • Step 3
    Cook slowly over a low to medium heat in a little oil.
Recipe Notes

I brown both sides using oil spray and finish cooking in microwave convection oven for 10-15 minutes at 180C degrees.
