A potato bake I have numerous requests for even though it is so simple to make, tastes divine.
Ingredients
- 6 potato medium sliced
- 1 onion large thinly sliced
- 425 g cream-style canned corn
- 500 ml cream
- 1 pinch paprika
Method

Step 1In a deep casserole bowl or lasagna dish, layer each ingredient except the cream and paprika.

Step 2Pour cream over potato mixture layers ensuring there is enough to cover just to the top layer.

Step 3Sprinkle top layer with hot or sweet paprika.

Step 4Bake at 180C for 75-90 minutes.
Recipe Notes
Adjust cream quantity to suit the consistency you prefer. More cream can be added during the cooking. I have also added chopped mushrooms/bacon/garlic but the basic ingredients listed above get the most compliments. Cooking process can be sped up by microwaving initially for 15 minutes then baking in the oven for a further 45 minutes.
