Ingredients

  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 1/4 cup caster sugar
  • 1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 15 g butter melted

Method

  • Step 1
    Sift flour, sugar and soda into medium bowl.
    Pikelets
  • Step 2
    Gradually stir in combined egg, milk and vinegar, stir until smooth.
  • Step 3
    Stir in melted butter.
  • Step 4
    Heat electric frying pan on medium heat.
  • Step 5
    Lightly grease pan evenly with butter or spray.
  • Step 6
    Drop tablespoons of batter into pan.
  • Step 7
    When bubbles start to appear, turn pikelets.
  • Step 8
    Cook other side until done.
