This is a lovely baked Oreo cheesecake slice. Sweet, creamy and delicious. It's a huge favourite in our family.
Ingredients
- 4 x 150 g Oreo biscuits
- 60 g butter melted
- 1 kg cream cheese brought to room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 egg
Method

Step 1Preheat oven to 160C. Line 23 cm x 33 cm pan with a layer of foil, then baking paper extending over sides.

Step 2Process 30 cookies in food processor until finely ground. Add butter, mix well. Press onto bottom of pan.

Step 3Beat cream cheese in large bowl of an electric mixer until smooth. Add sugar, vanilla and salt. Continue beating until well blended.

Step 4Add sour cream, mix well.

Step 5Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each just until blended. Process remaining cookies until roughly chopped. Stir through cream cheese mixture.

Step 6Spread mixture over crust.

Step 7Bake for 40-45 minutes or until centre is almost set.

Step 8Cool completely. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
Recipe Notes
This makes a large slice, perfect for gatherings or just to indulge. I make it using light cream cheese and light sour cream and it comes out very nice.
