A delicious hard sauce to go with your Christmas pudding.
Ingredients
- 90 g butter
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 2 tsp brandy
Method

Step 1Cream butter until soft.

Step 2Sift icing sugar and add to butter. Beat until white and light.

Step 3Work brandy or rum into mixture, then chill.

Step 4Serve with plum pudding.
Recipe Notes
I don't recommend substituting margarine for butter in this recipe as it doesn't harden or set properly - it remains far too soft. Use brandy or rum.
