Ingredients

  • 90 g butter
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 2 tsp brandy

Method

  • Step 1
    Cream butter until soft.
  • Step 2
    Sift icing sugar and add to butter. Beat until white and light.
  • Step 3
    Work brandy or rum into mixture, then chill.
  • Step 4
    Serve with plum pudding.
Recipe Notes
I don't recommend substituting margarine for butter in this recipe as it doesn't harden or set properly - it remains far too soft. Use brandy or rum.
