Ingredients

  • 2 cups self-raising flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 350 ml milk

Savoury flavourings

  • 2 cups cheese grated
  • 1 tbs parsley chopped
  • 3 bacon rashers chopped

Sweet flavourings

  • 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup mixed dried fruit diced

Method

  • Step 1
    Place sifted flour and sugar in bowl.
  • Step 2
    Add savoury or sweet flavourings.
  • Step 3
    Add milk to egg to make 500 ml mixture. Add and stir gently until just combined.
  • Step 4
    Place mixture into a greased 12 hole muffin tins and bake at 200C (180C fan forced).
  • Step 5
    Muffins are cooked once they sound hollow when tapped.

Equipment

  • 1 12-hole muffin pan
Recipe Notes

Ham can substitute bacon.

Cinnamon can substitute dried fruit.

Best eaten the same day.

These can also be frozen.
