A great base for either sweet or savoury muffins.
Ingredients
- 2 cups self-raising flour
- 2 eggs
- 350 ml milk
Savoury flavourings
- 2 cups cheese grated
- 1 tbs parsley chopped
- 3 bacon rashers chopped
Sweet flavourings
- 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup mixed dried fruit diced
Method

Step 1Place sifted flour and sugar in bowl.

Step 2Add savoury or sweet flavourings.

Step 3Add milk to egg to make 500 ml mixture. Add and stir gently until just combined.

Step 4Place mixture into a greased 12 hole muffin tins and bake at 200C (180C fan forced).

Step 5Muffins are cooked once they sound hollow when tapped.

- 1 12-hole muffin pan
Recipe Notes
Ham can substitute bacon.
Cinnamon can substitute dried fruit.
Best eaten the same day.
These can also be frozen.
