An easy to prepare slice that is half brownie and half slice. It's named after the friend who gave me the recipe. - miss daisy

Ingredients

  • 50 g dark cooking chocolate
  • 125 g butter
  • 2 eggs lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup self-raising flour sifted
  • 1/2 cup pecans
  • 1/2 cup choc bits

Method

  • Step 1
    Melt chocolate and butter in microwave on high for approximately 1 minute. Stir and microwave for a further minute, if needed.
  • Step 2
    Mix in all other ingredients and stir together.
  • Step 3
    Place into a greased 23 cm microwave-safe dish.
  • Step 4
    Microwave on high for 5-6 minutes until cake-like to touch.
  • Step 5
    Allow to cool completely, then dust with icing sugar.
  • Step 6
    Cut into squares to serve.
Recipe Notes

Best if made at least 4-6 hours before required.

I use a round casserole dish.

It won't look very thick before baking, but it will rise slightly.

Be careful not to overcook it as it can get very dry very quickly.

Check after 5 minutes and then cook again in 10 second intervals.
