An easy to prepare slice that is half brownie and half slice. It's named after the friend who gave me the recipe.
Ingredients
- 50 g dark cooking chocolate
- 125 g butter
- 2 eggs lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup self-raising flour sifted
- 1/2 cup pecans
- 1/2 cup choc bits
Method

Step 1Melt chocolate and butter in microwave on high for approximately 1 minute. Stir and microwave for a further minute, if needed.

Step 2Mix in all other ingredients and stir together.

Step 3Place into a greased 23 cm microwave-safe dish.

Step 4Microwave on high for 5-6 minutes until cake-like to touch.

Step 5Allow to cool completely, then dust with icing sugar.

Step 6Cut into squares to serve.
Recipe Notes
Best if made at least 4-6 hours before required.
I use a round casserole dish.
It won't look very thick before baking, but it will rise slightly.
Be careful not to overcook it as it can get very dry very quickly.
Check after 5 minutes and then cook again in 10 second intervals.
