This recipe is so easy, and has everything that you have in your cupboard, and is a great way to use up that BBQ chicken.
Ingredients
- 1 onion finely chopped small
- 4 tbs butter
- 3 tbs Woolworths Essentials Plain Flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 barbecued cooked chicken shredded
- 1 tsp KEEN'S curry powder *to taste
Method

Step 1Fry onion in 1 tablespoon of the butter until soft and transparent. Transfer to a small bowl.

Step 2Melt remaining butter over medium heat and add flour, whisking for a few seconds until combined. Mixture should come away from the sides of the saucepan.

Step 3Remove from heat and slowly add milk, whisking swiftly until all lumps are removed.

Step 4Put pan back onto the heat and and whisk slowly for approximately 5-10 minutes until mixture is thickened.

Step 5Add the curry powder to desired taste.

Step 6Add chicken and onion and mix through, cook uncovered on low heat until heated through.

Step 7Serve with rice.

Recipe Notes
You can add other vegetables, if you like. Make sure you cook them well before adding to the mixture.
