Ingredients

  • 500 g lamb mince
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 garlic clove crushed
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup fresh breadcrumbs

Sauce

  • 737 g pasta sauce
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup cream

Method

  • Step 1
Combine meatball ingredients in a bowl. Roll into walnut size balls and refrigerate for at least ½ hour.
  • Step 2
Place sauce, water and cream in a saucepan, stir and bring to the boil very gently.
  • Step 3
Slowly drop meatballs into the sauce and make sure they are covered with the sauce. Simmer for approximately 30 minutes or until sauce thickens.
  • Step 4
Serve with pasta, mashed potatoes or rice.
Recipe Notes
I used Five Brothers Summer Vegetables sauce for this recipe. The meatballs will be a bit sticky when rolling them but they will firm up in the fridge. I also put the water into the pasta jar and give it a good shake to get all the sauce out. Any type of mince can be used for this recipe but lamb is the best tasting.
