Simple enough to cook at thirteen, and tasty enough to still be cooking years later.

- 2 tbs soy sauce
- 2 tbs brown sugar

- 1 cup water
Method
-
Step 1Cook steak in a large pan or wok.
-
Step 2When cooked, set meat aside on plate and stir-fry the chopped vegetables.
-
Step 3While vegetables are cooking, combine sauce ingredients in a jug or bowl, and mix well.
-
Step 4Add sauce to vegetables, then add meat, and stir together until sauce thickens.
-
Step 5Stir in cashews.
-
Step 6Serve with steamed rice or noodles.
Equipment
- 1 wok
- 1 jug
Recipe Notes
The garlic can also be added as part of the vegetables as a freshly chopped clove, but I've just always used roughly a teaspoon of crushed garlic in the sauce. Seems to work either way! Slice rump steak into thin strips.
