Ingredients

  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 tsp crushed garlic
  • 3 celery stick diced
  • 1 carrot diced
  • 3 bacon rashers chopped
  • 500 g beef mince
  • 400 g canned chopped tomato drained
  • 400 g can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 tbs dried basil leaves
  • 250 g pasta
  • 250 g cheese grated

Method

  • Step 1
    Cook onion with garlic. Once onion is soft add celery and carrot, cook for 2 minutes.

    Add bacon and mince and cook until brown.
  • Step 3
    Add tomatoes, soup, basil, salt and pepper.
  • Step 4
    Simmer for 45 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Whilst mixture is cooking, heat oven to 180C.
  • Step 6
    Cook pasta as per the packet instructions.
  • Step 7
    Once mixture is ready, add cooked pasta and mix together.
  • Step 8
    Transfer to casserole dish and cover with grated cheese.
  • Step 9
    Bake until cheese has melted.
