Good for when you need a sweet fix, but don't want to break the diet.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup wholemeal self-raising flour
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate grated
- 1 cup raw sugar optional *to decorate
Method

Step 1Cream butter and brown sugar well. With speed on low, add flour and chocolate until combined.

Step 2Place teaspoons of mixture on a tray lined with baking paper. Press down gently with a fork. Sprinkle a little raw sugar on top if desired.

Step 3Bake at 180C for 12 minutes.
Recipe Notes
The texture of these biscuits is like a digestive biscuit and keeps well in a tin for a week or more. I allow myself one at night as a treat and find it stops me craving chocolates, etc.
