Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup wholemeal self-raising flour
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate grated
  • 1 cup raw sugar optional *to decorate

Method

  • Step 1
    Cream butter and brown sugar well. With speed on low, add flour and chocolate until combined.
  • Step 2
    Place teaspoons of mixture on a tray lined with baking paper. Press down gently with a fork. Sprinkle a little raw sugar on top if desired.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 180C for 12 minutes.
Recipe Notes

The texture of these biscuits is like a digestive biscuit and keeps well in a tin for a week or more. I allow myself one at night as a treat and find it stops me craving chocolates, etc.
