Ingredients

  • 600 g lean beef mince
  • 1 1/2 cups parsley finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup mint chopped
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 1 lemon juiced

Method

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 220C.
  • Step 2
    Put all ingredients, except lemon, into a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.

  • Step 3
    Form mixture into walnut-sized balls and place on a lightly greased baking tray.
  • Step 4
    Bake for 30 minutes or until well-browned
  • Step 5
    Sprinkle with lemon juice to serve.

Recipe Notes

Goes very well with a yoghurt-based or sweet chilli dip to serve.
