These beautiful almond shortbread biscuits make a perfect gift for loved ones and go down a treat after a celebratory feast.
Ingredients
- 250 g butter
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 3/4 cup cornflour
- 1 1/2 cups plain flour
- 1 cup almonds chopped
- 1/4 cup icing sugar *to decorate
Method

Step 1Blend sugar and butter in a food processor until creamy, add all other ingredients and mix well.

Step 2Shape into crescents.

Step 3Bake at 160C for 15-20 minutes.

Step 4When cool sprinkle with icing sugar.
