Ingredients

  • 100g butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup caster sugar
  • 1/3 cup golden syrup
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups Woolworths Essentials Self-Raising Flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 Granny Smith apples

Method

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 180C. Grease 6-cup capacity oven-proof dish.
  • Step 2
In a bowl, use a wooden spoon to beat together butter, sugar and golden syrup until smooth. Beat in eggs, then stir through flour and milk until just combined.
  • Step 3
Peel and core apples, then cut into a 1.5cm dice. Fold through batter then pour into prepared dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes until just set. Serve hot with ice-cream or whipped cream.
Recipe Notes
  • If the pudding is becoming too brown on top before it’s finished cooking, cover with some aluminium foil.
