This old-fashioned pudd is so easy to stir together, and takes less than half an hour in the oven - perfect for a quick dessert any night of the week.
Ingredients
- 100g butter, softened
- 1/3 cup caster sugar
- 1/3 cup golden syrup
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 1/2 cups Woolworths Essentials Self-Raising Flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 Granny Smith apples
Method

Step 1Preheat oven to 180C. Grease 6-cup capacity oven-proof dish.

Step 2In a bowl, use a wooden spoon to beat together butter, sugar and golden syrup until smooth. Beat in eggs, then stir through flour and milk until just combined.

Step 3Peel and core apples, then cut into a 1.5cm dice. Fold through batter then pour into prepared dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes until just set. Serve hot with ice-cream or whipped cream.
Recipe Notes
- If the pudding is becoming too brown on top before it’s finished cooking, cover with some aluminium foil.
