Made with staple ingredients, these golden syrup ANZAC truffles make perfect Christmas food gifts!
Ingredients
- 100g butter, chopped
- 2 tbsp golden syrup
- 1 tbsp water
- 135g (1 1/2 cups) traditional rolled oats
- 105g (1 1/4 cups) desiccated coconut
- 70g (⅓ cup, firmly packed) brown sugar
- ½ x 170g tube sweetened condensed milk
Method

Step 1Stir butter, golden syrup and water in a small saucepan over medium heat until butter melts. Remove from heat.

Step 2Place 1 ¼ cups oats, 1 cup coconut, sugar and sweetened condensed milk in a large bowl. Add butter mixture and and stir until well combined.

Step 3Combine remaining oats and remaining coconut in a shallow bowl. Roll tablespoons of mixture into balls and coat in oat mixture. Place on a tray and chill for 2 hours or until firm. Serve.
