This fried rice recipe is perfect for all the fussy kids and adults out there. Other ingredients can be added but this is just the basic recipe. It's good hot or cold, in summer or winter. - amy_agatha

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 chicken stock cube
  • 1 tbs soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 4-6 rashers short cut bacon, diced
  • 2-4 eggs

Method

  • Step 1
    Cook the rice.

  • Step 2
    In a frypan scramble eggs and cook bacon until cooked.
  • Step 3
    Drain rice and mix in bowl with bacon and egg.
  • Step 4
    In a cup, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil and chicken stock cube.
  • Step 5
    Add mixture to rice and stir through until all rice is coated. Serve hot or cold.
Recipe Notes
 The recipe can be doubled or tripled or even more, For every cup of rice you use, use the same multiplication of the other items. eg. If you use 4 cups of rice, use 4 chicken stock cubes, 4 tbs soy sauce etc.
Add the egg and bacon quantities to your taste. If you love them, use more. If you're not fussed, use less.
Other ingredients can be used if you want including corn, carrot and prawns.
Personally, I like the sauce mixture, so if I do 2 cups of rice, i'd do 3 tsp sesame oil, 3 tbs soy sauce and 3 chicken stock cubes.
