Ingredients

  • 250g frozen spinach
  • 250g cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 35g French onion soup mix
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 8 round bread rolls

Method

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 180C. Defrost spinach according to packet instructions, then place in a bowl with cream cheese, sour cream, soup mix and cheese. Mix well.
  • Step 2
Use a small sharp knife to cut a round out of the top of each roll, then scoop out some of the bread filling to create a cavity. Place on an oven tray and bake for 3 minutes. Remove from the oven and fill each cavity with creamy mixture. Return to the oven for 12 minutes until filling is hot.
  • Step 3
    Serve with vegetable crudités.
Recipe Notes

I prefer salt reduced French onion soup mix because it gives me more control over the salt content of the finished dish.
