Serve up individual party cobs at your next gathering so everyone can have their own. These ones are filled with a French onion, spinach and creamed cheese mixture.
Ingredients
- 250g frozen spinach
- 250g cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 35g French onion soup mix
- 1 cup grated cheese
- 8 round bread rolls
Method
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 180C. Defrost spinach according to packet instructions, then place in a bowl with cream cheese, sour cream, soup mix and cheese. Mix well.
-
Step 2Use a small sharp knife to cut a round out of the top of each roll, then scoop out some of the bread filling to create a cavity. Place on an oven tray and bake for 3 minutes. Remove from the oven and fill each cavity with creamy mixture. Return to the oven for 12 minutes until filling is hot.
-
Step 3Serve with vegetable crudités.
Recipe Notes
I prefer salt reduced French onion soup mix because it gives me more control over the salt content of the finished dish.
