A very tasty budget-stretching dinner.

- 45 g French onion soup mix
- 2 1/2 cup frozen mixed vegetables diced
- 1 tbs margarine
- 2 cup water
Method
-
Step 1Cook vegetables and put aside.
-
Step 2Heat an electric fry pan to medium-low.
-
Step 3Melt butter and fry onion until just clear. Add mince and
-
Step 4fry until well browned.
-
Step 5Stir through soup mix and water and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring often to prevent sticking.
-
Step 6Stir in cooked vegetables and simmer for another 5 minutes or until vegetables are hot.
-
Step 7Serve on hot buttered toast or with mashed potatoes and a favourite green vegetable.
Recipe Notes
For a different flavour omit the French onion soup mix and add another dry soup mix like chicken noodle, vegetable or spring vegetable. If using these you probably won't need the frozen vegetables.
